Bill Hader
After joining the cast of SNL alongside Andy Samburg, Bill Hader has made a name for himself as the master of impressions. The very first time I saw Mr. Hader, he was on Jay Leno and performed his impression of Peter O'Toole (buying a dozen donuts from Dunkin' Donuts with an expired coupon). Since then he has blown me away with impressions of Daniel Day Lewis, Al Pacino, and Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.
This week on SNL, he has outdone himself. I give you John Malkovich...

Visitors
David and Kristi came to visit us... yes it was over Valentine's Day... sorry for the delay!
I love Freeman's. It is a great find... situated on the Lower East Side, at the end of Freeman's Alley. The food is amazing- if you can stand the waits!
What would a visit be without Gray's Papaya? or Magnolia Bakery?
A great afternoon in Central Park.
Maybe one day there will be a David Park!

Shankopotamus
I am seriously a little obsessed with this commercial... it first aired at the Super Bowl. Talking babies probably goes in the "major creeps" category for Uncle Bubba... but I think this one is the exception.

Spring
As we are being teased with a few spring days every now and again, we take a moment to remember the winter behind us. West 111 street was often covered with a layer of snow... while cold, it made for a pretty walk home.

Basset in a Bag
We tried to put Ida in a bag so that she could travel on the subway... it did not go over so well.

The first day I got to play with Heather and Tim--- soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Bowling-Clark.

#2- Go see 'Shear Madness' at the Kennedy Center... check.#3- Enjoy a steak dinner at Charlie Palmers... check.
#4- take in some great views of our nation's capital... check.
#5- have a great riverside brunch at Chadwick's in Alexandria, VA... check.
#6- Ride the King Street Trolley of Alexandria, VA... check.
#7- Find a street sign with my name on it... check.

Pancake Molds
Why use a pancake mold?
To fill the middle with chocolate chips of course! (fruit, coconut, syrup, m&m's are also acceptable)

Snopocalypse

NY Braces for Snow Storm- NY Post
New Yorkers braced Sunday for a winter storm moving up the East Coast that could bring over a foot of snow to Manhattan.
Up to 13 inches of snow was projected by Monday morning in Manhattan and between 10 and 14 inches in suburban Long Island, National Weather Service meteorologist John Murray said. A storm warning was in effect until 6 p.m. Monday for the metropolitan region. Wind gusts could near 35 mph, he said.
"It's a classic Nor'easter, that's for sure," Murray said.
The city will have 1,300 sanitation workers spreading salt and plowing streets by 7 p.m. Sunday, and more than 2,500 on duty on Monday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg said. More than 100,000 tons of salt will be on hand.
"It's the first of March, which as you know is the month that we say comes in like a lion and out like a lamb," the mayor said Sunday. "It's pretty clear that the lions are getting ready to roar."
The storm was expected to travel up the Hudson Valley as it moved northeast. The weather service issued a storm warning for Dutchess County from 10 p.m. Sunday into Monday night, predicting winds up to 25 mph and eight to 16 inches of snow.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
As a loyal Del Frisco's customer and new work neighbor, I must mention Jimmy Fallon's latest news. 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' premieres on Monday night--- taking Conan O'Brien's spot on NBC (Conan is moving to LA and taking over for Jay Leno).
In honor of his upcoming career adventure. I would like to remember a little of his past greatness. What is he best at?... yes, SNL... Fallon will always be remembered as 'the cast member most likely to start laughing at himself on live television.'
