Stop... Miller Time

Bennet and Miller Mansfield have made the best of this snowy NYC winter. Instead of actually getting to play with each other (it is quite the hassle to get across the park with feet of snow on the ground), they just video chat. Bennet does most of the talking and Miller takes it like a champ. What can we say, sometimes girls just have words and guys just need to listen! Well done Miller, you are a pro from the start... and pretty good-looking too!

Bennet's Choice

Bennet has been asking (down-right demanding) me to put her favorite Super Bowl commercial up on the blog. So, at Bennet's request, enjoy...

Happy Opening Day

My favorite part about the Olympics?

That I get to repeatedly comment on how much Bob Costas...
looks like Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).

Gaia

Just wanted to share a wonderful program my mom recently introduced me to:

“Gaia” in Greek mythology means Goddess of the Earth. And GAIA is a new concept featuring creations handmade by women in need in the Dallas community using vintage, recycled, or sustainable materials. The mission of GAIA is to empower these women through employment, encouragement, training and development, leading the women to financial independence. A purchase of the gorgeous vintage napkins (more products will be added soon) helps give back to these women, who are all resettled refugees or former victims of domestic abuse.

Grumps and Nonny

What do we do when Grumps and Nonny come to visit?

Bennet gets undivided attention...
Nonny teaches Bennet the secret to her chocolate chip cookies...
(Chef Bennie was so excited)
Ida gets jealous of Bennet and Grumps...
Bennet shares some of Grumps' love with Ida...
Everyone has naptime...
Bennet has a fitting for more custom warmness from Uma...
We tease Grumps about his super white "magic shoes"...
We have the best time ever...
