Mustang Donuts

Most of you are aware of my donut snobery. I am very picky about donuts- i laugh at you Krispy Kreme. I am known to get hostile if I come across a KK or store bought donut.

Luckily, the best donut place in the world is close to where i grew up and even closer to where I went to college. My dad and I spent many a Saturday morning going to get donuts at Mustang. Yes, we often dressed alike for the occasion- and why not, i ask you.

On our last trip to Dallas, I recruited Bennet into this Saturday morning ritual. Yes they gave her free donut holes (score!) and yes, I won the trivia question and got a free glazed donut (double score!) and yes, the donuts were still warm (triple score!). Her first visit could not have been more of a success. And I have a feeling she now shares my passion for Mustang Donuts.

Adeline Grace Micek made her way into the world on October 5 at 6:48 pm.

She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz.

Adeline knew she could not live without us, so she made her parents move from NYC to Houston in order to be with the Lee's. Well planned AG!

SMU vs. TCU

Is Bryant a little bitter that Bennet's first college football game experience was an SMU mustang game? Perhaps.

Bennet got to see her mom's lil sis' daughter (figure that one out) Annie. Annie is 10 days older and wiser than Bennet, so lots of advise was given and received. (Yes this picture will be used to pressure them both to be Chi Omegas)

Bennet rocked the Boulevard as only an SMU girl could. Short sleeveless dress... check. Cute shoes... check. Lots of hugs from cute frat guys... check. The only thing missing is a red plastic cup filled with b...soda (gotta wait 20+ years for that one bennet).

The game was actually a record crowd--- 35,000+ fans. (and no, it was not all purple either). The top picture is of the student section. It stayed like that until the end of the game---- tyler and graham, what happened to the half-of-the-1st-quarter-only student section we knew and loved? My how things have changed.

and it's back... the SNL sketch of the week award!!! After a season off, I feel it is my duty to let those "man, i haven't seen SNL in so long" people what's up. I also do this in an effort to cut down on the number of bandwagon SNL'ers... those who LOVE SNL after they saw the 'Lazy Sunday' digital short on YouTube.
