Father's Day
Happy father's day Bryant!
We drove to Dallas to spend Father's Day with the Langbein crew. Ida and Bennet rocked the back seat.
We went to church at Highland Park United Methodist... where I grew up. Two generations of HPUMC nursery girls...
And what's a father's day without a turkey on your head? Thanks Uma.
Grumps got a universal remote control. This is what the TV looks at all day long:

It is the Day of the Show Y'all
Tonight is opening night for "Patience"... the show I have been working on since the move to Houston. This is my second year to perform with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Houston... and what an amazing bunch they are!
This year I am playing Lady Jane ("the old trout" as the director now calls me).
On Monday, we performed a few of the songs on Houston's NPR station. please enjoy...
This is Carol... it is because of her amazing make-up skills that it is possible to make somebody as drop-dead, out of control gorgeous as me look like i was 75 and rotund.

Brooklyn Bridge (May 23)
We spent an afternoon walking across the Brooklyn Bridge and eating pizza at Grimaldi's with the Watsons. How can you go wrong with that combination?

Beth Page Black
Before we moved, Bryant and our friend, Eric, made their way to Long Island for a round of golf at Beth Page Black. They were first in line to walk-on for a tee time--- that's what you get for sleeping in the car in the parking lot.
I'm no golfer, but this looks serious.

Lady Liberty
During graduation week, all of the Lee's went on the Circle Line ferry trip around the entire island of Manhattan. I must say that it was one of the coolest NYC things EVER. You see pretty much everything! Here are a few pics from the excursion:
Thought the tour guide did not mention it, this is the spot in Riverside Park where Bryant asked for my hand in marriage! (over 5.5 years ago):
This Columbia "C" is painted on the side of a cliff at one of the most Northern points of Manhattan:

Columbia (entire school) Graduation (May 18)
It was VERY rainy, but still a pretty cool event. The ceremony has been the same for over 200 years (except it is now in English and not Latin). It was an amazing tradition to be a part of... even though we were in a giant sea of umbrellas.
And I don't want to point fingers, but one of us did not handle the rain as well as everyone else...
