Over Thanksgiving we were able to meet up with the Averitts, Tyler, and the Neitzels at El Fenix. The kiddos had quite the time.

I think Bennet's mom has given Charlie's dad this look a few times before.

The tradition continues.

The Party

Bennet's first birthday party was just perfect. She spent the day surrounded by close friends and family... and totally scored on some great gifts too!

Bryant and Uncle Dee manned the grill.

Things got a little out of hand with the presents.

Bennet's Big Day

It began with balloons in her crib... so she just repeated "ball" or "bah" over and over again.

Then downstairs for donuts!

And then a sugar high- she ate the entire donut by herself!

Girl, you can sit however you want! It's your birthday!

Then Cappy went with us to the ZOO.

Then we busted in on Marmee's AP English class.

I think a nap was in order after that.

After dinner, we had cupcake and present time!

Yes, Ida scored about 3/4 of the cupcake.

What a great start to a life full of birthdays!
