A Weekend with Nonny and Grumps

When Nonny and Grumps are in town, there is LOTS to do! We ventured down to a local crawfish boil... they had some great stuff going on! Bennet tried cotton candy for the first time... it was more fun to play with it.

We also had a great Sunday brunch (we were amongst the "sitting on the patio wearing our sunglasses" crowd).

Cool Aunt Lori gave Bennet the coolest red car! We made Grumps put it together on his last visit to Houston.

Bennet helped Grumps a lot!

The Thunder

Bryant, and our friend Stephan, coached the mighty Thunder this year. The Thunder is made up of 9-10 year old boys. While they did not take the big trophy this year, these boys had a great season!

The Houston Zoo

We may be a little obsessed with the Houston Zoo. We got a membership this summer and we have been frequenting ever since. Bennet LOVES seeing all the animals. We also get to go with our friends a lot too!

Bennet Walks

Yesterday at the zoo, Bennet started walking. I just took her out of her pink car and she walked off! Just like that! She went from no interest--- I thought she was going to be a speed crawler for life--- to "peace out" mom. Here's a window into her journey...

Iowa City

I spent this past weekend in Iowa City, Iowa with The Kimzeys! This trip has been a long time coming... and man was it worth the wait! It was a little frigid the whole time, with a "light dusting" of snow! Here are some of the hi-lights:
