Lady Liberty

During graduation week, all of the Lee's went on the Circle Line ferry trip around the entire island of Manhattan. I must say that it was one of the coolest NYC things EVER. You see pretty much everything! Here are a few pics from the excursion:
Thought the tour guide did not mention it, this is the spot in Riverside Park where Bryant asked for my hand in marriage! (over 5.5 years ago):

Columbia (entire school) Graduation (May 18)

It was VERY rainy, but still a pretty cool event. The ceremony has been the same for over 200 years (except it is now in English and not Latin). It was an amazing tradition to be a part of... even though we were in a giant sea of umbrellas.
And I don't want to point fingers, but one of us did not handle the rain as well as everyone else...

Bryant's Graduation Party (May 17)

We celebrated Bryant's triumph at our favorite restaurant... VOZA. Voza is a tiny restaurant on Columbus at 106 (who knew, right?). Over the years we got to know the owner and chef- so they were thrilled to celebrate with us! For Bryant's graduation present they had a jazz band playing on the sidewalk for us!
Our Voza friends, Niko and Sharn:

Fellowship Group

New York is a funny place. People move there for so many different reasons... school, the arts, an adventure, a new career. Most people are just passing through... for a few years of their lives. Realizing this, I am amazed at how blessed we are to have met these friends. They are the best. (cue stand by me soundtrack)

Just in Time

About a month before we left, the subway unveiled this...
at least i got to enjoy it for 4 fabulous weeks! (please note: i was yelled at for taking this picture because "you can't take pictures in new york city because people think you may be taking pictures of them"... direct quote- sorry tourists... put those cameras away!)

Other additions as we were leaving:
Rotel (I am a little bitter about this one... been waiting 6 years!)
Nordstroms (rack, but it counts)
Trader Joe's on the Upper West Side
